Air & Waste Management Association - A nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization that provides training, information and networking opportunities to thousands of environmental professionals in 65 countries.

Envirofacts - A single point of access to select U.S. EPA environmental information about activities that may affect air, water and land anywhere in the United States. With Envirofacts, you can learn more about these environmental activities in your area or you can generate maps of environmental information.

Environmental News Networks - For 10 years the Environmental News Network has helped to educate the world about environmental issues. Began in 1993 as a monthly print publication called "Environmental News Briefing," it launched www.enn.com in 1995 to reach a broader, more diverse audience.

Federal Web Navigator, The - A service provided by the Center for Information Law and Policy and intended to be the one-stop shopping point for federal government information on the Web.

KAIRE - KAIRE is Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District’s community outreach and education program for the Louisville metro area. Enhancing our neighborhoods and quality of life helps to ensure environmental and economic health for residents. KAIRE's primary goal is to increase public awareness of the impact individual choices can have on local air quality.

Kentucky Clean Fuels Coalition - To improve air quality and support economic development across Kentucky by promoting the use of clean fuels.

Kentucky Legislature Home Page - The Legislative Research Commission provides the following services: committee staffing, bill drafting, oversight of the state budget and educational reform, production of educational materials, maintenance of a reference library and Internet site, and the preparation and printing of research reports, informational bulletins and a legislative newspaper.

Lexington Bluegrass Mobility Office-Ozone Alerts - This Web page is part of the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's efforts to monitor the air quality and the level of ozone (ground level) air pollution in the Lexington area and promote increased awareness of air quality issues.

Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District - The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (APCD) is the air pollution control agency of Louisville/Jefferson County, Kentucky.  It is the only local air pollution control agency in Kentucky.  Established in 1945 as the Louisville Smoke Abatement Commission, it became the Air Pollution Control District of Jefferson County in 1952.  After the City-County Compact of 1986, APCD staff were employees of the Jefferson County government until the county government merged with the city of Louisville effective Jan. 6, 2003. In the merged Louisville/Jefferson County government, APCD has been renamed the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District.  It is part of the Community Development Cabinet.  A board of citizens, the Air Pollution Control Board, oversees the district.

Louisville Air Quality Index - The Air Pollution Control District of Jefferson County issues an Air Quality Index four times daily during the weekdays. The Air Quality Index provides the current index, the elevated pollutant, the current category and a short-term forecast.

NACAA - The National Association of Clean Air Agencies (formerly STAPPA and ALAPCO) allows users to locate state and local air agencies across the nation, access the latest information on important air pollution topics, learn about the association's positions and initiatives and find links to other related Web sites. Pollution Prevention Center-Kentucky University of Louisville - The Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center is the Commonwealth's primary resource for pollution prevention technical assistance, training and applied research.  The center helps organizations increase efficiency and profitability by identifying opportunities for waste reduction and other methods for improving environmental management.

SESARM-Metro 4 - Metro 4 Inc. and Southeastern States Air Resource Managers Inc. are nonprofit corporations formed respectively by the local and state air pollution control agencies located in the southeastern states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. This Web site is designed primarily to serve the needs of the member agencies of Metro 4 and SESARM, but offers information on their site for general public use as well.
