The Air Toxics Section conducts a cursory review of the Class I modeling submitted to the Division for Air Quality in support of the Federal Land Managers (FLMs).
The Air Toxics Section thoroughly reviews all Class II modeling submitted to the Division for Air Quality in support of PSD permitting actions. The Guideline on Air Quality Models (Guideline) for PSD modeling analyses is Appendix W of 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 51. The Guideline is the appropriate source for information on model selection and other modeling criteria. Additionally, the New Source Review (NSR) Workshop Manual (Draft 1990), Chapter C-IV discusses Dispersion Modeling Analyses.
The Division for Air Quality does not provide meteorological data to permit applicants. Such data can be obtained from the National Climatic Data Center and Radiosonde Database. Elevation and surface data can be obtained from the National Elevation Dataset hosted by the U.S. Geological Survey.
